Before creating the four age-defined workbooks which we named My
Special LifeTM, we conducted focus groups and did in-depth
interviews with many of our families of individuals with disabilities.
They presented us with a very long list of needs, and asked for
something which was colorful and upbeat. Their greatest fear is
having something happen to them and not have anyone else know
all about their child or adult with disabilities.
The workbooks are a vehicle to provide an upbeat description and
history of the very important details about your child that no one
would know if you, the parents, were not around. They are printed
in four color and housed in a three-ring binder for flexibility
and ease of use.
Valuable not only as a family chronicle and keepsake but also
as a resource to use with schools, therapists, physicians, camps and
special intervention programs, the workbooks cover such topics
